Why? Because it beats lying to ourselves to make other people feel comfortable about themselves.
It might have been hell during the period that i came out, due to the fact that there were limited resources available which set up a situation that seemingly encouraged pitfalls....but now....now things have changed....

and while it's true that that is not the case in all, in those where it's not 99.999% of the time upbringing has been geared very much towards their area of expertise and it can be directly linked therefore to environmental consequences rather than biological.
Either way, there's either distinct evidence of a biological reason or distinct evidence of no biological reason... unfortunately because of peoples insistence that almost everything they want to be 'natural' must be down to this magical dna then there is no such distinction for homosexuality, it's just left as 'unknown'.
I would also add to that that in the animal kingdom and i would suspect in tribal activity it is both ritualistic and widespread within the species and communities it happens, how it started god knows but there is not evidence from that that it is biological but moreso to be argued for communal influence. -

The thing that causes homophobia isn't just the thought about gay sex being disgusting or the misconception that gay men can't control their sexual appetites. Rather it might be the catty attitude that such people exhibit (expecially in lesbians).
A side note, the people who want S377A to remain are an obstacle to progress, and should be removed at all cost. Are we going to remain in the Third Reich era? I hope not.
