whats singapore's law on blackmailing?

anybody can quote me the website? i have found from wiki but it does not says about singapore's law. it might be different.

hmm, im not sure if its right one. it is like talking as if u r the one blackmailing the other party. i want to know how to confirm that im being blackmailed.

yes, its a civil case for odex. but odex has legal rights to ask for money on its grounds. which in the 2nd post of this thread, it is said that:
Exception.
It does not amount to an offence within the meaning of this section, when the person making, publishing or circulating any such statement, rumour or report has reasonable grounds for believing that such statement, rumour or report is true and makes, publishes or circulates it without any such intent as aforesaid. -

They will take it from there.
When they have sufficient evidence they will prosecute.
If not they will give you advise, and a warning to the other party. -
hmm, but if the person did something wrong which has caused the other party to demand for a compensation? like no valuables loss from the other party. but the other party demands money to drop the case. if this person dont pay, he will lodge a report. but this person has already agreed to pay a small sum of the demanded as the demand was too high(like odex). so how to settle?

er... did you commit a criminal act? i mean he say if A dont pay, B will report. but A did a criminal act. But A has already apologised and paid a small amount of the demanded sum. B is asking extra for his personal gain. B did not lose any valuable information or anything important.
