What happen to ' Pumping Iron' ?

Simon, We are unhappy but you are seen as a arrogant individual with your replies in your forum. Take this example.
I go into IT Support and ask for help on BSOD. Mayi would probably give me her advice on what to do and then search for relevant information to help me.
But if I go to your forum, I post to ask about help. I get information that are confusing and this isn't about intelligence level.
Let's say someone wants to learn about Java. He asks me "How do I call a method?"
If I were mayi, I would say "You must first know the method name as how it is spelled. The class name and type etc etc"
If I were you, I would say "Refer to the class"
You understand that you will have newbies around and what you're typing isn't gonna help them 90% of the time. That is why being a mod is tiring. -

We are being spoonfed one way or another. When you are in doubt in your homework, Do you ask your teacher and attempt to learn? Or do you pretend to know then fail your exams?
What if you asked your teacher and he/she said "Weren't you paying attention when I was teaching?" or "The textbook is there for a reason"
How would you feel?
