Just like when Jack's Place round up my bill, I also feel FARKING PISSED..but it's only a few cents..but why am I so pissed? It's because of principles..why do I have to give them extra money? And where does the extra money goes to? Not as if it goes to charity..

I remember that my friend and I was about to eat at this Japanese restaurant at Tiong Bahru Plaza 2nd level when I was pissed off by their attitude.
They placed us at a table for 4 with cushions without backrest and I requested to sit at the back where there are backrest which they refused. I asked and they replied they are reserved. I questioned that whether all of the 5 tables were reserved, they answered that they are reserved for bigger groups.
The place was like not crowded and it was not even dinning timing. The tables were for 4 which is the same that they are going to place me. I turn to my friend and asked whether he was really keen in eating there which he say no thus we walked out and visited another place in the building that offer tables with backrest.

i mean, if u wanna argue w/society about ur principles, most likely u wun win. business are out there to make money. so if jack's place round up ur bill, they are making their money. a few cents sounds like peanuts to u. but imagine there's thousands of people patronizing JP. the few cents will accumulate to hundreds of dollars, yea ?

I mean in your case, its pretty simple. If I'm uncomfortable with having to fork out extra for alterations, I'd simply not buy it and go elsewhere. Like river island or g2000.

Hmm...... maybe, maybe not. I don't usually go for alternation, I usually try and after that ask for a fitting one. I'm not fussy about few cents and all, especially when the service is good. I believe tipping is important, to keep the good service going and to show gratitude.
As for Zara, man.. What can you really expect? It's just a chained fashion store and 89.90 really is just mid-range.. If you insist on free tailoring and all, simply don't buy from them..
I wouldn't mind paying the extra 10 bucks if I were you since they provided a reasonable explaination. -

Yup, so I am dining elsewhere..I haven't been stepping into JP for a long time..
And once again, I am not asking anyone to agree with me, so don't flame me..Other people might not feel cheated, but I personally feel cheated when they round up cents.. -
I dun go Zara at all...
Still prefer Domanchi.

Anyway, like another poster, I don't mind additional few cents if service and food is good but been a long while since I dine in JP cos don't see them around when I need to eat. -
