Zara is a European brand, and shirts from Europe do not come with sleeve length or neck length, unlike shirts from N. America.
Besides, you are paying 89.90 for the shirt, and if you want extra services, e.g. tailoring, it is justifiable that you can charged for that.
Yes, there are shops that provide free tailoring, but just because someone does it free, doesn't mean everyone MUST do the same. Just like some restaurants absorb GST, but does that mean every single shop must do that or they will suck?
Honestly, you are so clouded in immaturity, I suggest you save up and buy a cheaper shirt because you will only make a good Zara shirt look bad. -
i read ur post. with some capital letters here and there trying to emphasise. i ready ready, i 1st think is think, like those rich arrogant people. i know some brands that got different sleeve length, and some that dont have. whats the big deal? its the brand problem. u want to alter the sleeve length, its a extra service.

I never have any problem with Zara ler. Alterations they offer is free. I am picky especially when it doesn't properly fit the lengths. I would say its minor alterations but they do it free. I just have to collect in a few days. Thats when i think whether to leave it for a few days or not. I think i just lazy to come back to the shop to collect... ma fan.. although alterations makes it fit precisely , but minor alterations i just cant be bothered after careful deliberations. lol!
The staff i think really friendly ler.. offer to dress me up matching shoes , clothes and pants. I tell them what occasion or what kind of clothing i prefer , n they will offer a few varieties of clothings. -
you should try asking first whether Zara have an In House tailor before making your purchase actually..and besides, Zara is just another of those franchise catered for the indo students or those who wanted to look rich I dun understand why people may think that Zara = Affluent and Very Up fashion boutique
Go to a solely Men's boutique like Hugo Boss, Ermenegildo Zegna, Club 21 boutiques or at least, Raoul. all of them have inhouse tailors or at least provide free alteration because these are niche stores to cater to those who are rich and not looking rich -

THREE reasons why I say it's absolute rubbish:
1) I have to pay for alterations just because Zara Singapore does not have
their own tailors? What has this got to do with me? It is not MY
problem that Zara Singapore does not have their own tailor, so why
impose extra charges on customers for alterations? Is it customers'
fault that Zara Singapore does not have their own tailors? No. So why
do we have to pay?
2) Zara's business shirt only have sizes like: S, M, L, XL. There is
no measurement for sleeve length, so I can only choose from 'S', 'M',
'L', 'XL' etc. Even companies like G2000 has measurements for sleeve
lengths for their business shirts. So when Zara Singapore does not
give ME a choice to choose different sleeve lengths, they SHOULD be
prepared to do alteration for me and WITHOUT a fee! It is not as if I
am given a chance to choose my sleeve length, so if I can't choose my
sleeve length why do I have to pay when I request Zara Singapore to
alter it for me? It is THEIR fault and not MY fault that the sleeve is
too short/long for me. So Zara Singapore SHOULD have the COURTESY to
alter it for customers FOC.
3) I am prepared to pay $89.90 for the shirt, not $8.99. A shirt that is
this expensive, and I still have to pay for alterations? I can get
cheaper shirts outside and still get free alterations!
Zara's clothes are nice, but their services aren't..deeply disappointed this time round..

I wearing hangten polo tees also got no problem with status...just a little bit bothered why they always have to sew their 2 feet logo at the neh neh pork area.

But if you're talking abt business shirts here, I suggest you go tailor make them. No frills and made to measure. Some tailors are cheaper oso.
There's one tailor at Park Royal (Beach Road), quite afforable. But also depends on wat fabric and design you choose la.
If u need to pay 10 bucks to alter the length of your sleeve, seriously la, i think all neighbourhood areas have at least 1 tailor/alteration service. Just get it done somewhere near home lor.

1) I said this is about principles..But if you think my principle is about me not being able to afford an additional $10, then fine with me..if you think I'm poor and I wanna act rich by buying Zara shirts, fine with me too..But to me, principle is if you don't have shirts with varying sleeve lengths for customers to choose from, then be prepared to alter for them..if you say my arms long or short is my fault, then WHY do they have shirts with sizes: "S", "M", "L", XL"? Might as well sell it FREE SIZE? If don't fit then alter for you? I fat or thin is my fault ma, is it? Added: Then shoes might as well also sell it Free Size? Don't fit then alter for you at a price? My feet small or big is my fault also?
2) I already said I am simply voicing my opinions here and I never use a bazooka or any sort of weapons to point at you guys and ask you to agree with me..so I don't see why you all should flame me..
