  Hi,
  
  I'm looking for a birthday present for a friend and I'm looking for something different, not those typical gifts you find at Orchard or other big Shopping Centres.
  
  My friend suggested Haji Lane @ Bugis, but I'm looking for other options in case that place isn't the kind of place I'm looking for.
  
  I'm open to any suggestions. It'll be cool too if you could post what kind of stuffs the places you suggest are selling, if that's not too much to ask.

  You can try giving a not so unique present, but you put extra effort in the packaging.. like use special wrapping material or learn from website how to wrap nicely or use rope material to tie.

  Sorry, before anyone jumps into more conclusion, I have already thought of making something for my friend. I'm asking for suggestions on other presents because I don't want to just give my friend this thing that I'm making. I'm also buying a nike shirt and other small stuffs, but I'm just looking for more stuffs to put together to make it a bigger birthday presents.

  Oh and thanks for the suggestions like customized puzzles, saga seeds, and wrapping the presents nicely, but I'm actually looking for places, like some not easily found places that sells unique stuffs, maybe something like musical box, etc. I'm asking because I'm not the kind who goes out often, and am hoping to get some help from fellow Singaporeans.
