Buying Digital Cameras In Toyko

  Am planning to purchase a digital camera in Tokyo when i travel there.. Anyone knows if the warranty is valid in Singapore?
  
  Any precautions i should take?

  make sure its international warranty.
  
  there are many electronic things that are very cheap in Japan...because warranty is only limited to Japan.If its really cheap...better eyes open big big.

  Not really, unless it's Japanese brand. The DSLR are really cheap, a bit more than half price.

  you mean like the Panasonic F18? or something.. the one in digital life today.. so i should get my Dslr there..? Hope i dont get con man

  Nikon, Canon you name it. Don't have Sony A100 prices off-hand, but Japan DSLR shld be cheaper there anyway.

  Panasonic FZ18 is not a DSLR.

  FZ18 is a mini DSLR right? Will panasonic digital camers be cheaper there? I find their leica lens extremely good.. pictures quality better than canon and nikon in my opinion too.

  Prob is, i'm thinking whether i should buy the cam in Singapore to take photos in Japan or arrive there first day then buy the cam for the rest of the trip hah

  Yeah it is cheaper by abt $100 for a normal digital camera... and alot more more if it is a DSLR.... and msot come with a international warranty..

  is that why some cameras at CLUBSNAP no box when photographers sell them?
  cuz if bring in with box need to pay tax etc?!
