Cos pig cannot be killed without inflicting great pain into the animal...
I think Halal food only consist of animals that can be killed in a less painful manner. That is my own opinion.

Hmmm, i think muslims are allowed to touch or keep dogs.... only if the saliva touches you, then you have to wash it rightaway.... but hey.. its rather hygienic to wash though.. hehhe
it is only haram if u neglect or abuse the dogs.... or rather.. any other pets too...
i guess... the only reason why not many malays keep dogs as pets is becos of culture?
if u go to arabic countries... many muslims there own dogs... -
If I'm not wrong, Seven Days Adventists don't eat pork too.. Cos I have a friend who is one.. =)
