MM Lee in Mumbai, New Delhi for week-long visit

SINGAPORE: Minister Mentor Lee Kuan Yew will be in Mumbai and New Delhi for a week-long visit from Sunday 28 October to Saturday 3 November, where he will meet India's Prime Minister Manmohan Singh among others.
In Mumbai, he will meet Governor of the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) Dr Y V Reddy and Chief Minister of Maharashtra State Vilasrao Deshmukh.
Mr Lee will also meet with leading captains of industry and business leaders.
In New Delhi, besides meeting Dr Singh, Mr Lee will also meet President of the Indian National Congress Sonia Gandhi and Minister of External Affairs Pranab Mukherjee.
A statement from the Prime Minister's office says Mr Lee will also attend the JP Morgan Chase International Council Meeting and will be hosted to a lunch by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII).
He will be accompanied on his trip by Minister of State for Education and Manpower Gan Kim Yong, Minister of State for National Development Grace Fu, Senior Parliament Secretary for Education Masagos Zulkifli, MP Christopher de Souza, and other senior officials.
