The plank or rubber which you sit on has weight.Originally posted by snop_coolz:note the part where the swing start to swing violently...and watch the 2 iron chain that swings along with it..it really look like theres weight on the swing or the chain would not b so straight.
wah the kid so pro noe how to do that meh?Originally posted by redness:nar, it is just the kid nudging the beam of the swing.
notice that the whole structure is made from light weight material and rather small. if you time your nudging accordingly, physics will take care of the rest.
i tink u just spoil the mystery...Originally posted by MyPillowTalks:Take a look at this:

i tink cos of the 2 swings beside it, the 2 little movement of the 2swings made it happen....
resonace effect

there is another video stating the wind.......when u watch the video, u will realise that the mic is picking up sound of the windOriginally posted by Phoebie:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-PHqCm0wNi4
notice the third swing starts to move and swings and sort of gyrates again after being stop by the guy in the video
any scientific reasons pertaining to this?
i've watched the resonace effect demonstration (using pendulum) in another video.. a start off "pull and let go" on the left pendulum by the demonstrater (the right one starts moving), after sometimes the left starts to stop moving ; and the right one begins to move a lot.. and after sometimes right begins to stop, and left begin to move again
and i notice the stick use in the demonstration is swinging a little as well
and each of the experiment start off.. the demonstrator need to pull the pendulum to lead it to swing
hm..Originally posted by MyPillowTalks:there is another video stating the wind.......when u watch the video, u will realise that the mic is picking up sound of the wind
the wind move 2 swings by the side .......
but i still wan to believe that it is hantu

Ok i agree on that part. but there's like 12 videos of this swing and not all the videos were captured on a windy day.
but for 10 days? kinda impossible?Originally posted by Phoebie:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-PHqCm0wNi4

yeah physics rox when you study them. i think the mid one is constructed differentlyOriginally posted by eagle:just nice that the natural frequency of that particular swing coincides with that of the wind, thus leading to resonance.
You never know whether it was constructed exactly same as the other 2 swings
