Why Akita Puppy banned here?

I know this breed have a fighting ancestry back in Edo period..but now they are just japanese dogs that hardly barks and protects the children too..
why is it banned here? Anyone knows -

lots of obedience training needs to be done since young for the dog.. or else.. it will grow up to be uncontrollable....
knowing singaporeans... many will just buy for the beauty of it... and will put the rest of the issues abt dogs aside.... -
