Questions regarding shipping from usa

  Dunno if this is the right forum to post this but anyway here goes.
  
  Situation:
  I'm interested to purchase some soft toys from A USA based website and since they offer free shipping within USA i was thinking mayb i could use a mail forwarding service like vpost usa to cut down on the shipping cost.
  
  Question:
  is i saw a couple of other websites offering similar services to vpost (ie providing the user with a USA address and forward it to your local address) i was wondering whether anyone has any experience using other service and which service would be
  
  1) Cheapest
  2) Most reliable
  3) Fastest
  
  I'm sure a lot of ppl here has experience with online shopping so i hope to learn from your experiences.

  Btw, they say shipping via ship is cheaper. But how to ship via ship anyone1?

  there is vpostUSA
  www.vpost.com.sg
  
  been using for the past few yrs
  no major problems with them
  usually takes 2-3 weeks (from date of purchase) to arrive at ur doorstep
  
  another one is www.comgateway.com
  currently limited to amex, mastercard and HSBC visa users.

  The issue is, if your toys were delivered to vpost and vpost loses the package during shipment.
  
  Who is going to be liable for the loss?
  
  The retailer's responsibility ends when the goods reaches vpost.
  
  Better check out vpost's liability regarding lost packages.
