there's one construction job under the sun u will never win us bangla coz we spoilt market until salary not even enough to fuk chicken man last time say depression even so many construction forlun workers cheap like hell still contractor close down please lah and now we slow slow do conrtustion work say due to safety but still ple can fell from top of building everywhere u got got holes and apes insde fukin one another behind still so many acicdent crane topple u go everysite see the crane overhead image their dispalcemetn and how far they can reach the solid graound whennthey topple everyday u r brushin shoulders with the reaper and ll the folun worker never shower still thick skin walk past u hopw many germs they carry u all beware
if u can dig and ask for even dirt cheap salaries and wages thwn thos eengineers and construction worker beat the u can dig like a dog also so got job lor

Government got nothing good to report for that quarter hint hint that job market is getting better and better... (looks good for them mah...)
Then people believe 100%... be so daring...quit their job first...look for job later...

last time i no admin experience try finding office job also hard....had to find 4 months before finally got temp data-entry clerk with crappy pay....after that, it's very easy liao.
i suggest you find a data-entry temp job with salary like S$800 - S$900, work for 6 - 8 months, then find a low-level admin-asst job that pays S$1200 - S$1300.
work for 1.5 years then jump ship to find a better admin-asst job that pays more.
work for 4 - 5 years then jump ship aim for admin executive.
so, the roadmap for people like you and me is:

Nowadays alot of China people come here work......some dun even know how the bloody hell to speak english......
The other time my mom went to a bakery, and the China girl dunno how to talk in English....and coincidentally some civil service or dunno which lady who works under the government tell my mother she is frustrated about people here cannot find job and yet so many jobs go to these china people...... -
But when i employ Sg peoples, they alway want higher paid, transport provided, no shift works, meal allowances and also sick very often. Then foreigner came along after MOM approved our quotas for foreign workers.
They never see doctor, never ask for benefits, work till late also no complain, no politics, obedient, simple, no need to contribute CPF, low pay too.
So, as an employer, what you think??

The time is over, now it is all globalism.
Though i am still assisting my friend in his business, i will be out next year to manage my own.
One thing which i found out is during this period while assisting my friend is:
1) hiring locals
i) they will have a lot of expectations
ii) tell u he got this problem and that problem;need to go HDB, CPF, other matters.
iii) Expect pay increments every certain period of time. most of them unwilling to make sacrifices for the company.
iv) not willing to work certain jobs; cleaner, construction worker, labourers, etc
2) hiring expats/foreign workers
i) the levy which replace the CPF is cheaper, they dun have much problem as compared to the locals. And we can pay them at a low cost as compared to locals.
ii) they are under work permit/S pass and the various work passes, so the chances of them job hopping around is minimized. This is one counter measure i think MOM has done well to protect the locals and you guys do not appreciate it. You have the freedom to go around, but they dun. Feel fortunate abt it. You can whine abt your superior (which i did and left the company eventually).
iv) able to work OT as they dun have commitments, like need to go back home to accompany kids, dun have much social life as most of their social circle evolves from work site.
this is a common scene in all developed countries, either you make things happen or dun.
