As for Scene A: Has it occured to you that Uncle was asking for a Hollow THIN Gold Necklace? You know nothing as you're not at scene....trying to act smart??Originally posted by aremeis:As for Scene A: Has it occured to you that Uncle might be asking for a Hollow Thick Gold Necklace? You know how people are nowadays ....trying to cut corners even during their conversations.
Scene B: Perhaps the craftsmanship for that necklace is what she had wanted and that even at loosing that bit of money on the trade-in deduction and workmanship is worth it!!! Afterall, it's her money and her choice...anything wrong??
TS, I don't really see anything wrong and certainly have a different view about your "aesop's" morals. Sorry to be offensive here, but I cannot help sense a little snobbishness on your part to have such a perception and moral. Besides, does minding one's own business means that this thread should not have its place here? I just wonder with my "bliss insanity" here. Look everyone will have his or her own perception but perhaps if we really look further than just skim the surface - it will certainly help a lot here.![]()
Actually, sell-back gold for 916 and 999 not much diff.Originally posted by BadzMaro:Gold as investment and something to weigh u down is not bad. Necklace on neck 7K. On wrist 4K. Gold ring on 1 finger 1.5 K. None of the hollow "kring kring" sound. We talking about purity. 999 not the 916. 999 softer.. thats why u need to buy heavier.. thicker!
In an event of emergency , life or death . u are cashless and they dont accept credit cards. U know ur investments on your gold jewellery has paid off.
Not Really as this is another perception that I have perceived and posted to remind you that I do have my perception as well.Originally posted by cyberr1981:As for Scene A: Has it occured to you that Uncle was asking for a Hollow THIN Gold Necklace? One man's meat is Another's poison....oh also another perception you know how ppl are about ignorance??Originally posted by cyberr1981:Scene B: What craftsmanship? It a plain simple chain necklace you see everywhere.
Well said here, but perhaps and just in case you have forgotten that perception does require beyond reading.Originally posted by cyberr1981:Look everyone will have his or her own perception but perhaps if we really look further than just skim the surface (esp when you don't read - it will certainly help a lot here.
When u are desperate... emergency.. trust me. The little details little extra's dont really matter. The main point is the weight and the global price of the gold. Think its still way worth a resell then diamond rings. Gold they will confirm accept. Diamonds.. NOT necessary they will accept.. and if they do.. it'll most likely be 20% the original price.Originally posted by cyberr1981:Actually, sell-back gold for 916 and 999 not much diff.
For example the gold bracelet I bought 65grams:
Retail price = [($42 x 65) + $30] x 1.07 = $2,953
Retail price = [($45 x 65) + $30] x 1.07 = $3,161 (if 999 fineness)
Sell back, minus 28%, only can get back = ($42 x 65) x 0.72 = $1,965
Sell back (if 999 fineness) = ($42 x 65) x 0.72 = $2,106
As you can see, I get back more or less the same but I paid MORE if it's 999 fine. So, really bo hua to buy 999....
i was referring to elites, not referring to you. are you elite?Originally posted by cyberr1981:Can't you read I'm buying gold for WEARING??![]()
