Watches costing 1k+ range, any good recommendation?

  Yeah, but only if you consider that all those models started life as Heuers, not TAG-Heuers. After Techniques d'Avant Garde got involved, it all went down the gurgler right quick and anything new they've produced since has been overpriced cheap crap.
  
  Even Omega have managed to claw their way out of a hole since succumbing to the Japanese onslaught and the Swatch takeover. TAG's remained absolute manure.

  TAG is a sell out brand... i bought a TAG Aquaracer and it went kaput after sending it for servicing Now, im switching brands to suit the occasion..A hamilton is really your prized asset..I vouch for Hamilton...An Omega Speedmaster and my dad's Vacheron

  Ooooh yeah - Hamilton's good bang for the buck, and so is Oris. The damdest thing is that my Hamilton costs 15% of any of my Rolexes, but its design sure gets a lot of attention.

  Seems that we are slamming TAG quite a bit. Guess we should change the topic ! The initial batch of TAG Heuer still packed a pretty gd deal, i guess those were the transitional batches of watches.
  
  I recalled them launching the old Heuer Carrera series and that still packed the lemania 1873 movement , that was one TH i would have gotten..tried locating them in the shops,but hardly any of them stock them =

  Well, you know me - I don't mince words. I wouldn't mind some Heuers, but a TAG-Heuer? Gimme a Seiko anytime - at least they know how to make watches.
