people in japan and branded goods

i just came back from japan. 95% of women wear branded stuff. bags, shoes, scarves, jackets etc etc. men also like to carry lv, gucci etc bags and they are always immaculately dressed. women are hot
how come these japs can afford so much branded goods when their average wage is arnd 5k sgd and cost of living so much higher?
e.g.
min metro fare is 2 bucks, go all the way up to arnd 4 bucks
taxi from narita airport to downtown tokyo is 350 bucks w/o jam 500 bucks with jam. wtf
a banana, ONE banana, costs 2.60.
food is cb asspensive. mac cost 8 bucks for a meal, mcflurry 4 bucks, soft serve ice cream 3 bucks
dunno how they survive buying all these branded goods sia -

First they save every penny - that mean cheap lunch & dinner - if can do not eat out . They really watch what they spend - that why everyone take bus and trains .... so they save and save then buy the brand stuff
hello people there do not take taxi from airport to city !! They take train or bus from airport to city !!! -
their high end boutiques are so so much expensive there than elsewhere...
Commes Des Garcons costs like 3 times there than elsewhere...
BAPE and other cultwear also..
but they survive like on sushi,beer and virginia slims every day..dun think they bother to splurge on other stuff anyway
