hey jamie, art is subjective i agree. but whats wrong in drawing nudes ( in this case shes not even totally nude ).. like kuali said, you have not even stated clearly why you find it offensive. and there wasn't a need at all to state people getting struck by lightning while you are the more likely party... posting some girl's photo with that f sign is good enough.

hmmm i posted this in another thread but its buried into the other topics. so i thought i'll post it here :)
i'm currently drawing this wip and taking a break from my other drawings. i aim to make this drawing surreal/fantasy styled. when i 1st saw the model for this drawing ( the pic she sent me ), i knew what i wanted for this drawing and that the reference was perfect. i wanted to draw a lady with a peaceful expression. this drawing is done on an A3 size paper. these are the wips. ( you can see in the process i changed her facial proportions ).
the wips are all taken with my mobile phone. for the last wip, heres what i wrote in other forums.' i'm back with the final wip of this drawing. i just sketched out the other half of the concept of this drawing with the dead trees, cage and outline of the dove. these are at really sort of rought sketch stage, i will add details and contrast and build on more shadings to them on the final drawing. i'll continue with the hand as i've not touch that part of the drawing that much yet and also gonna shade up the area of the smaller flowers and shape the fire lining of the drawing.
i will tell more about this drawing after i've completed it. :P ' -

if u read thru my posts, i din even make any negative comment on ur work. all i did was to upz tis thread and tat stoopid kuali moron came to make some idiotic remarks.

I've already given my critique, so what have you got to say? You don't simply say 'yucks' and 'one man's meat is another man's poison' and expect to get away with just that in discourse. The subject's sexuality isn't even highlighted in the drawing, so are you too ashamed to say that you're a prude? If this is too much for you, Giorgione's 'Sleeping Venus' and Manet's 'Olympia' will have you frothing at the mouth.
First you say "WTF is this" and that the drawing is "near pornographic", and then you claim not to have made any negative comments on boyusflare or his work. If you'd kept your mouth shut in the first place, nobody would know about your stupidity; not only did you not do that, you've been digging yourself even deeper into the crap you got yourself into with every subsequent post.

Aaron: I want to be involved in car design once I'm done. As for the WIP, the detailing's as tight as what you've shown us before. Just a wee suggestion, that if the hand is meant to touch her head, pay attention to showing the contact and tension, however mild it may be. The thumb is also not in the position it should be if it were following the contour of the head, and that works against the peacefulness that you're trying to convey.

Great job boyusflare, I really think that you have a talent for drawing. I would suggest that you scan your artworks and touch them up using photoshop to make them more realistic (or surreal, if you wish).
Such talent like yours are highly sought after in the game designing industry.
