if u got referral letter, no need to wait
usually within 1 to 2 weeks u can get an appointment date already
provided relli genuine case tt needs urgent attention
Hi hiphop. It is best you go to any polyclinic and don't mind the long wait and get the doctor to refer you over to SNEC or your prefered hospital as this way will be much cheaper. As for me I got refered by my MO when I was serving my NS. Can say that Im a regular at SNEC now. It's good to have your checkup soon when u feel there's something wrong.Originally posted by hiphop2009:okays thanx~
i wonder here got pple got similar case as me or nt, see those "flying" thingy stuff....
Same as above.Originally posted by kitkat_:Hi hiphop. It is best you go to any polyclinic and don't mind the long wait and get the doctor to refer you over to SNEC or your prefered hospital as this way will be much cheaper.
I see. Actually you do not have to worry much about that. I had galucoma earlie this year right after my sugery, appearantly the doctor made a slight miscalculation and injectED too much steroids into my operated eye hence caused my eye pressure to shoot up real high, but thank god it was discovered earlier and he did his responsibility to solve the problem for me. I think since they ask you to go back to recheck next year it shouldn't be much of a worry there. But should you sense anything wrong with your eye, you should go get back to your doctor.Originally posted by AngZangGui:Same as above.
My personal experience.
I went to the spectacles shop to make a new spectacles early this year and the yan guang shi or whatever it is called in English check that I might have glaucoma (still way too young to have that). Recommended me to go for a more thorough check at the hospital and so I went. But before that I tried going to the polyclinic to get a referral letter but couldn't get because they don't have the correct equipment to check my eye and so say that I do not have any problem since my eye pressure was normal. End up still went to the hospital to check and got the same conclusion as the spectacles shop. But now still under the case of suspected glaucoma. Specialist say might be due to my myopia degree (more than 600). Need to go recheck again next year and hopefully nothing wrong so I might get discharge. Would have been much much cheaper if I had got the letter since the fees are not cheap for a student.
If you go SNEC, then you have better wish you have good luck. My neighbour was referred by the polyclinic dr to go SNEC. Went for ops, after ops she has side effect. Was told the training doctor who did the op for her did not do a good job. She was unlucky to have a lady doctor who is bad tempered take care of her. She said the dr very fond of flaring temper to the patients, and the staff there are also aware of her behavious.Originally posted by hiphop2009:ok i guess, well, i think my eye sight a bit failing liao...i do see a bit of those "flying" stuff, but den, in recent months it has been getting worse...
