  Erm. I want to buy some book from Amazon.co.uk.
  
  Can anyone tell me how to buy ar? How's the process, delivery cost, delivery period.. etc

  Is the book really that rare that only amazon has it? Try obtaining down the ISBN number of the book and approach Kinokuniya.
  
  They will help you to import the book from the states and the price is definitely cheaper as you save up on delivery and exchange rate transaction costs. I did the same thing for a particular novel of mine.

  Well, I was in a similar situation as you. Wanted to buy this book from amazon and I couldn't find it at Borders and Kino.
  
  So I approached the staff at the Kino book counter and asked them whether they can check their databases for its availability after giving them the book's ISBN. Upon checking, they confirmed with me that they don't, but they said that they will import it over.
  
  It normally takes around 2 weeks and when I asked them with regards to the costs structure, they said it was around the region of $20 dollars. Mine was a soft-cover novel, so if yours is some thick and heavy leather-bound text, perhaps the price would be more expensive?
  
  I calculated the price i had to pay amazon versus the quotation that Kino was offering, and needless to say, Kino won hands down.
  
  Do note that most of the titles that Borders and Kino carry are obtained from overseas, so most probably they are simply inserting my request as an additional line order from their overseas supplier.

  i just got my package from amazon two days ago..
  you add the items to the shopping cart..
  then enter your credit card number, address..
  the shipping is about US$4.99 per book i think..
  the price is in USD..

  oh ya.. the shipping it takes about 2 weeks or so.. but the delivery date shows 13th december when i ordered it earlier this month.. think it's just the latest they will sent it to you

  Do they sent it directly to your house?

  Yupp, direct to your doorstep..
  my items cost about $80 [ including shipping ]
  convert to sg dollars is about 110 like that..
  i got 4 books, shipping cost about 25 dollars..
