The baby's name sounds ang moh..if asians donate, because of the difference in our blood components, the baby's body might reject it. Hopefully, they can find people within their race, the possibility of a match is going to be higher.

If genuinely want to donate, all of you can donate regardless of what blood type you are and not necessarily must be B- only.
It's easy to come up with selfish reason like "oh, too bad my blood type don't match", "err... I am afraid of needle", blah, blah, blah... who know? Maybe one day, you may be the one on the receiving end and would have died if you not for those who have donated their blood.
Even if your blood don't match, I am sure there are someone else needing your blood anyway. (By the way, I am a regular donor). -

THE BLOOD BANK GETS THE FREE BLOOD FROM DONORS @THE COST OF 1 CUP OF MILO + SOME BISCUITS AND SELL THEM TO HOSPITALS AND HOSPITALS SELL THEM TO THEIR PATIENTS.
WHEN PATIENT IN HOSPITAL, ESPECIALLY GOVT HOSPITAL NEED MORE BLOOD, THE HOSPITAL WOULD NEED THE PATIENT TO GET MORE DONORS TO DONATE BLOOD.
BLOOD ALSO GOT EXPIRY DATE.
THE ONLY BENEFIT OF DONATING BLOOD IS THAT YOUR BODY PRODUCES NEW BLOOD TO REPLENISH THE SHORTAGE. -
