I heard of this too. But i know from some prophecies that 2012 is not the end of the world. In fact, the world is a blessed place. The things that will happen in 2012 are nuclear wars over superpowers in the world

And nowhere in the documentary did it say the Mayans predicted the world will end in 2012, it just said their calendar ended then. I mean their calendar had to end sometime, they couldn't make an infinitely ongoing calendar. Even if they did make it like twice as long people would still be saying "OMG THE WORLD WILL END IN 4024!!" -

The Mayans think that 2012 is the end of an age and there will be a major change in world order, they didn't state that it's doom's day.
