There are a few salient points which I noticed in the argument & debate in this thread:
1) Constant cross utterances of referring each other to IMH.
From what I can see, nobody in this forum qualifies for a referral to IMH but rather there are differences of opinions & views which should be the usual scenario in a discussion on any topic. Accordingly one should respect each other's views, live & let live & practise peaceful co-existence - all of which will lead to good mental health for everyone involved.
2) Regular usage of the words delusion, paranoid & hallucination (eg hearing voices)
The aforesaid words are mainly applied in a psychiatric setting & should have no place in the current normal setting forum as those words evokes an unpleasant feeling & reaction for the individual targetted. -

Wouldn't some of these be candidates of suicides just because they cannot handle the taunting that normally goes on in forums?
You can see so much name calling going on and some of the name calling are justified more than pothers but do you see people issuing threats because people call them names?
Should people take everything thing lying down and for the sake of "peaceful co-existence" not issue any rebuttals to put-downs?
But... if people issue rebuttals that "evokes an unpleasant feeling & reaction for the individual targetted", they are after all rebuttals, not initiations, if these people start to issue threats, in my opinion, they have underlying psychological problems that they should deal with. Normal people can take it. Abnormal people issue threats. -

There is no argument that using threatening words are worse that the those words which I said should be discouraged. In fact some extreme threatening words eg threatening bodily harm is criminal but using threatenings words do not necessary mean the person is abnormal - it can be due to anger, frustration & losing his cool. -

Maybe if you use names other than your real name here you might feel less threatened.For example if someone who knows my real identity crack something about burning my house,raping my dog or repainting my car.Of course I would feel paranoid
