  Part timers working still need to contribute to cpf if their pay exceeds a certain amount. Can't exactly remember what that amount is. I think it's $800/-.

  The rest is the gahmen's excuse to make companies pay more money to them.
  And they in turn seduce the investors with big tax incentives.

  Just to point a note, if ur salary is above $500 ... a sum of money will be deducted and go into your cpf .. that is for cheaque payment ... if you want to get your pay via cash which is quite rare nowadays, i dont think there is a deduction for your cpf
