There is nothing wrong with the believe.Originally posted by DriftingGuy:I hope this would prove to be a wake up call for those who still believe in a civilian's "right to bear arms"![]()
Whether he shot himself or someone shot him, it is still the society, 2 years ago, when i was doing my GP papers on America society, one topic that stand me out was the consitutional on armoury possesion, State laws differentiate in between each states in the laws of the right to buy a gun or weapon for personnal protection. A normal person, 21yo and above can walk into a gun n rifle shop to buy a gun, sign his ID, and the purpose: for protection. His ID will then be registered with the PD.Originally posted by annoy-you-must:Is it the shooter who shot himself? Or was it the society killed him? Or did he killed the society?
Perhaps if Singaporeans are allowed to purchase guns and utilize it in a lawful and responsible manner.Originally posted by angel7030:Whether he shot himself or someone shot him, it is still the society, 2 years ago, when i was doing my GP papers on America society, one topic that stand me out was the consitutional on armoury possesion, State laws differentiate in between each states in the laws of the right to buy a gun or weapon for personnal protection. Many rightist groups have call upon the govt to abolish the gun laws, but no senators have yet push it through, so every now and then, you can see crazy, depressed, psycho peoples killing innocent peoples. Now, who is to blame, he or the society???
In our society, anyone carrying a weapon is liable to be life imprison or death sentence, this deter the offenders, but if Singapore is allowed to purchase Gun and weapons, what will it be like??? Just imagine....

Looking at some of the replies to the threads in AA in sgF itself, I'm not suprised.Originally posted by FUU:He posted somewhere he was going to kill people in that specific mall, what rifle he was bringing and going to end his life in stlye. So...which park to you sleep in?Originally posted by Nikar2:usa is a country of strong cowboy background, so u roughly can see their mindset.
for almost all US citizens, they have this notion of "if i have my own gun, i'll be safer".
in the end, everyone thinks like this and the country ends up being a time bomb.
also, not to forget, it's not possible for the usa to ban arms, cos' their gahmen get a huge chunk of profits from the arms sales, taxes etc.
it's like asking our singapore regime to ban cigars. u think that's possible?
in terms of arms and law / order, the usa has much to learn from us.
in fact, the only thing i'm proud of in SG is the awesome security here.
i can sleep at night in a park with my bank book and S$5000 on my chest and everything will still be intact when i wake up next morning.
thats really really sadOriginally posted by jojobeach:They boy who did this has a very sad background.
He dropped out of school.
Got kicked out of his home.
No where to go.
Was taken in by a good samaritan.
Worked in a fast food restaurant.
Something happened at work and I think he lost his job.
Gave up on life, and took more along.
In his letter to the one who took him in.
He apologies, that he didn't want it to end this way.
He felt he was a loser with nothing to look forward to, now he'll be famous.
The lady was interviewed and with tears in her eyes she said " I thought things are finally looking up for him, then this happens."
So people.
Please give others a chance. Don't be mean.
When a person is facing desperate times, extend your helping hand, NOT drop more stone to bury him.

So...which park to you sleep in?no lah, just an analogy to show that SG is super safe.
In America there is still much rural and isolated countryside. The nearest neighbour could be miles away. Police response may seem like forever if someone is in trouble. Americans are very particular about home turf privacy. Against intruders or wild animals that might threaten the livestock, guns are a must for some people.yes, but majority of folks living in US is in suburban area.
I think all the people who posted after him should be held accountable as well..you DO NOT encourage a person to take another person's life whether it be on the internet or face to face..they should all be considered accessories to murderOriginally posted by FUU:top post was his
