But the way you put it is misleading. How can you make such a claim that:
1. Children had neglected the man and maid, and
2. Mac is better than Kopitiam?
Which action is cruel? A morning out with family and maid?

u wouldnt knw wat is mac or kopitiam liao..

I think we should not be quick to judge.
We don't know the background why the children went to the Mac and left the old man with the maid at the kopitiam. Maybe like some others in this thread mentioned, the old man does not like Mac and the air-cond.
Sometimes it is very easy to be self-righteous...and judge others without really knowing what is going on. Well, at least the children took him out with them and have a maid to take care of him...instead of leaving him at home. -

but come to think of it, if he really bb liao then its very sad coz he died in a empty and cold kopitiam, with the maid next to him and not his family
