How to differentiate between cheques?

  Hallo I know this question is stupid but then today I just learnt how to write a cheque..from what I know there are 2 types right?..one is to withdraw cash? and the other is got the stamp and must tick the label called "bearer" right which is to?..withdraw cash also?

  on the pay section: you can either write a name or Cash and strike off bearer in case the ku ku lost his cheque.

  haha I don't know the significance of striking the bearer but then my aunt who is the boss taught me that for the second one which is the one with a stamp definitely needs both the stamp and the bearer being strike off..but then what's for that one?..also to withdraw cash like the first one? confused

  Um, basically cheques that are not crossed at the top-left corner can all be encashed, with the exception of cheques made to "Pte Ltd" companies (these can only be deposited to the company account).

  if u put the bearer name means the person must present his ic in order ro cash the cheque on the spot.
  
  if no bearer name anybody can cash the cheque= cash cheque. the word cash replace the bearer name.
  
  if the cheque is crossed at the top left hand corner means the cheque must be banked in(dropped into quick cheque deposit write yr particulars on the reserve in case the bank need to call u & the acc no u wish to bank the chq into). the bank need time to clear this cheque. funds not available on the spot.

  yes. or payee's account. as long as one of them is present, it's an a/c payee situation.
