Need help, moving to Singapore? what are the taxes et x?

  I'm thinking of moving to Singapore. I don't want to work or become a citizen. I just want to pay low taxes.
  The best place would be Monaco, tax free. But it's hard to move there, or impossible. UAE is also tax free but it's an Islamic nation...
  
  I would like to know how the taxes are, do you have to pay taxes if you do not work?
  I do not want to become a citizen, just to live there, is it hard to get a permanent VISA?
  
  Wheres the best place to live in central Singapore?

  You do not have to pay income tax if you do not work (active income), subject to you not receiving any other forms of passive income (rental, dividends, interest, royalties) from overseas or Singapore.
  
  The only tax you have to contend with is the 7% Goods and Services Tax (GST), which is like a VAT or ad valorem tax.

  I'm not going to live of welfare. And I will go to private hospitals.
  If any I will help Singapore by buying stuff.

  I don't like paying taxes. Especially here in Europe, (50%)!
  The money goes to free health care and free education for people.

  If you live off dividends, it will be subjected to taxes.
  
  BUT, if the source country taxes it at a higher rate than Singapore, then probably you do not have to pay any further taxes on it. This will depend if the source country has any tax treaty with Singapore.

  I do not agree that free health care and free education to the poor of society wrong. Taxes redistribute income from the rich to the poor, helping the poor maintain a certain level of living. If free healthcare and free education is not provided to the poor, most likely they will end up dying on the streets and their children will be perpetually stuck in a poverty trap.

  We have the same issue in Europe. People hating foreigners just cause their ancestors came to the nation before the foreigners.

  The mod's can do an IP search, I live in EUROPE. The place even American's move to. It's the richest currency in the world. The wealthiest nations on Earth are concentrated here.
  
  I can understand if you talk about foreigners from India et c. But Europe? Then it's not for a better life. Perhaps for less taxes like me.

  That's not really the issue. It's a reaction to our goverment's 'Foreign Talent' Policy....
  
  foreigner's have always been welcome, but with the insane influx over the last few years its hard not to feel some resentment (mind you, its not totally unfounded).

  Since u do not hv no intention to work Singapore, you will not be taxed, but you shall be taxed in a social manners, eg Goods n Service tax 7%, property tax, road tax, TV n radio Tax, conservatives tax, immigration tax and transportation tax which is pre taxed in the fares to include oil tax.
  
  Since you are moving in, for your info, many of us are trying to move out because high competition, high cost of living, stressful and fast society, long working hours, late retirement and finally money alway not enough. We want to move out, but no money to move out.
