People nowadays only like to point fingers, without realising what they themselves can do to ensure that things turn out well. Sure, bar them from owning mobile phones. Not only does it prevent any problems, it will cause sour relationships and worse working attitudes. If you don't believe, go ahead and try.. and you will find yourself having difficulties finding a good domestic helper. -

Please lor, a hp will not change everything lor.
They still wire their money back to their family while upkeep their hp with pp card. And pp card do not auto top up but it will disallow pp to call out when the value reach 0 so there are no debts to clear.
If you think it is really financial burden for them, you buy the hp for them lor...
I had seen employers buying hp for their maids or even signing a line for them. You? on the other hand like some of the employers who would confiscate their mobile phone if you find any.
Bear in mind that when you are working, your employers do not conficate your hp from you...
in other words, you do not deserve to have anyone working for you. -
not to mention that sometimes, it is the family that request them to buy and send back the mobile phone as it is cheaper in singapore...

Pass them the mobile while they are away running errands, fetching kids, marketing and so on when you need to contact them. Once they are back, get it back from them.
