im a student while waiting for my Os i landed on a job as related to the topic here
i had left the job for almost a mth now.. the manager said my pay day would be on 20+th of december so when i called at 29th dec he said my pay date would be after 1st of jan again.. coming up with all sorts or excuses that i nvr returned the uniform which i already did right after i quit the job to the hr department personally, then still say i nvr tell hr i from which branch my staff number etc etc..my name is stated so big on the staff punch in card which i've returned together with the uniform.. called after 1 jan his staff say he not in..
its like getting obvious of his ill intention... so if i'll take the case to m.o.m with witness of my working period there or can i get some advice from forumites here?? -

huh?? no not the sign contract part,my contract is only the application form which i filled up then 2days later i was called to their HR centre together with the new recruits for a briefing then after than we assigned to individual branches..
now the part is getting back my pathetic pay..they are earning thousands aday yet holding back my couple hundreds of pay....oh jesus.. -
I kana such shit before when i was just 16 years old and was employed by one of then famous supermarket . When i was on my last day , the hr pregnant lady keep asking for my uniform which i told her they never give me any uniform . Then later when i get my pay , they minus off the cost of the uniform which i told her you all never gave it to me untill left just some pathetic sum and that time i stupidly din make any noise even though all my colleague treid their best to hint to me .

Most companies who behaves this way only bully young kids.
But when they have to talk to parents they will be more cordial and co-operative.
You will not see them bullying older employees because they know mature adults will make sure they get what they deserve if they punk them like this.
So, go talk to your parents and tell them this company is playing punk with you. -
Any salaries, irregardless of nos of working days, not paid after 7 working days is an offence under the employment act. You can seek MOM helps by reporting your situation.

Inform them that you would going straight to the MOM if they do not pay you within the next three days or something. If the money is still not given, there is no further need to wait. Just go to the MOM.

Go to MOM. Get them to force the hand of your company.
I remember reading an ST forum article sometime back about a dad who was complaining that a certain restaurant refused to pay his daughter after she worked there for a few days. And yes, she had just finished her Os as well.
MOM intervened and forced the restaurant to pay up. -

All companies in singapore have a Co. registered nos. Whenever u file complaint, use this nos, it is link to IRA, Inland Revenue, ie income and corporate tax, all your salaries is taxable unless stated by IR to be deem not neccessary, all income must be declare, it is the duty and the law of IRA that the Company's HR or representives, must submit all salaries+bonuses and other related incomes within the company, given out to the employees. Any non submission or false entry shall be classified as attempt to cheat and evasion of taxes. Any discrepancies shall be audited both internally and externally.
Therefore it is the liability of the company management if they fail to paid out the salary to u within 7 days after your resignation or whatever, fail to report to IRA, fail to reflect on their account leading to audit discrepancies and finally fail to compliance with the contract of or for serivce.
If nothing is written or stipulate without a contract of or for service, the employment act shall supersede in the eye of the laws in Singapore. -

omg i just went to collect my pay and they underpaid me .. i tried to contact the manager several times couldn't get him...
