i hafta admit that TS's method of reaching out is wrong.. he should have gone to another teacher or a teacher counselor for help..Originally posted by Father Lim:no teacher is going to be that dumb to hit a student rite??
cos they all know that this is going to cost them...
if the TS is so unhappy, then complain to the school...
why start a nick here and post the teacher's name and school here...
is the TS trying to destroy the teacher's livelihood...
and why is there a recording?? could it be a plan to get the teacher sacked??
next thing u know, this is posted on the front page of new paper and the teacher will prob get sacked or reprimanded....
while corporal punishment is not rite, most of the time the reason for the punishment is valid... just whether the punishment meted out is acceptable....
but nowadays, most punishment is unacceptable to parents...
so they complain.. but in the first place, do these parents discipline their kids??
i would say that the student's attitude in school reflects the parents disciplinary attitude towards their kids... prob they know that their parents will complain if the teachers punish them, so they do as they will in school as they know that the teachers can't really do anything to them...
spare the rod, spoil the child...
you seem to think what TS has done is correct when he never include his name and what he did wrong.Originally posted by jojobeach:For those who advocate physical punishments in school, I think you are all kinda sick in the head.
And yes then, guys who are so full of balls should just go through NS again, should increase NS to 3 years. No complaining allowed.
Dear Furious Student:Originally posted by Furious Student:Why are you associating this with National Service when they two totally different things altogether?
I don't ask because there is NO misdeed that justify such acts from teachers.Originally posted by freedom4ever:you seem to think what TS has done is correct when he never include his name and what he did wrong.
no one here know what actually happen before he got hit but you choose to side him without knowing the whole story?
so next time when Singapore got attack by other country, you and TS are going to write to the UN to complain? post in forum to complain?
why not just create another thread that i got push by someone in the MRT today when he is trying to get into the fully packed train?![]()

I think you forgot to add "ya" after every sentence.Originally posted by angel7030:Aiya, at time, scold is care and beat is love ok.
The teacher maybe over reacted, but think it over, it is because she wanted u to understand, she care for u, love to see u get good grade, so in a fit of moment she act rashly, go apologise to her and said u do your best, study smart, and i can guarantee she will feels so happy and care for you more, she will apologise to you.
If she really dun care about you, she dun even ask u anything nor worry whether u understand or not. Take the hardknock of life, as a gal, i take it why not u, as a guy.
That's why guidance is needed.Originally posted by oberon:tis is a small incident yet TS is weak and do not have sufficient EQ to learn to endure or manage anger...
not to forget, the teacher needs guidance as well, its wrong tat she hit the student on the head.Originally posted by jojobeach:That's why guidance is needed.
Not an avalanche of reprimands, not a lecture about how strong man should be.
This I concur.Originally posted by oberon:not to forget, the teacher needs guidance as well, its wrong tat she hit the student on the head.

Shrinks need to study for so many years - that's how they know the symptoms, the treatments for it and make theories & books on it. self-diagnosed. haha. how did u self-diagnose yourself?? lol. internet tests arh?? reading books arh??
not so simple one lar. if it's so simple to self-diagnose yourself, why then would shrinks need to study for so many years....
It is possible to self diagnose certain illnesses. IF you know enough about it to make an accurate diagnoses.Originally posted by udontknowme:self-diagnosed. haha. how did u self-diagnose yourself?? lol. internet tests arh?? reading books arh??

if u think u really were a 'high-functioning autistic' child or that if you have social anxiety disorder etc, go get yourself professional diagnosed before you say it...

should be able to.....somemore he mentioned by name.....Originally posted by MohamedF:I was just wondering... the article did not mention the reason the teacher him for... as a result, it was made like the teacher is the bad guy...
If the claim turns out to be false, can the teacher sue the student for defamation of character...? worse, this is not slander, by posting this out on the net, it is liable... liable sue can make thousands...![]()
