chinese or western doc for broken/displaced bones?

  which one is better? some say chinese some say western. i broke my bones and went to chinese(makuang) first but felt cheated bcuz not only was it expensive it didn't improve my condition. i juz got a cast from NUH today and at least i feel more informed abt my situation...

  always western for fractures and broken bones, never use tui na or acupuncture, if they do use it. may aggravate with TCM.

  i only go TCM for my stiff neck

  go tui na only for sprains, or after your bones are "mended", could go chinese doctor in addition to any physiotherapy you are put under

  sprain, muscle strain = sinseh
  broken, fractured, blood clot = doctor

  depends on severity of blood clot. and the area, internal or near the skin.
  
  juz a thought, can TCM actually help worn out cartiledge and joints/ligaments? hmmmm

  I think nowadays, there is a mixture of both.
  
  When I broke my ankle and went to a chinese doc, he made an appt with TTSH, and ask me to get him the xray before he can treat.
  
  Being in dire pain, I decided to go ahead with TTSH and put on a cast.
  Now, the western doc did not set my bone or did anything, they just wrap it in cast and let it heal. (minor fracture only).
  
  Only after it was out of cast, did I went to a chinese doc to get it strengthen.
  
  For me, primary rule, for any bone injury, first get an xray.
  You can't treat what you can see for these type of injuries.
  
  And any mistakes may means consequences..
  For my case, it was a case of being careful or I end up with uneven legs.
