If you lost your Singpass, the police will not investigate, UNLESS, that bugger knows your IC number as well. Lose your Singpass, go and reset it.
Internet Banking - police investigate? Please. They are not so free. You have to look up your previous months statements, or even going back to years to see if there are any discrepancies. Then notify the banks. Although unlikely that the banks will return you the backdated lost money, but previous months' could be recovered.
And for goodness sake, please go and reformat and reinstall the operating system. The fact that your accounts have been hacked hints that some spying softwares are on your computer. And keep them up-to-date. Do you know how easy it is to exploit an unpatched computer? It's very easy, let me tell you. With just one tool, I'm able to run exploits and get all your passwords. As long as you gained access to anything, whether or not there's damage, it's a crime. Because you aren't supposed to have access, and you have access.
Anyway, hacking isn't a crime going by what it means. But due to the media, it has evolved to what it is today. While you are right, the police is right as well. Besides, sgF server is not in Singapore.

wah.. im so freaking impressed
tip for making passwords: have numbers, alphabets PLUS punctuation marks.
Not all websites accept punctuation marks because when misused, it can lead to SQL injection. Alphanumeric is still good enough for now.
Some websites insist that you create an uber long sentence as your password. I calculated a file MD5, CRC32, SHA1 and SHA2 and make it my password. ![]()
