Maybe in future? But doubt even they make, they will squeeze 8600GT gpu inside. Maybe 8400 instead? But anyway, this macbook air attracting point to me ah is just the remote cd drive ah. If not, too ex le.Originally posted by LazerLordz:When will Apple get their act together and come up with a 13.3 inch MacBook Pro?![]()
no.....its not only 0.2Originally posted by JennTS:It's 0.2 ghz processing speed.
It's barely going to make any difference at all, at least nothing notable without using programs to calculate the boost in performance. Plus, it's a CPU processor, whereas games require a dedicated graphics card which neither of them offers.
since it is "pro" they won't make a 13 inch one.....Originally posted by LazerLordz:When will Apple get their act together and come up with a 13.3 inch MacBook Pro?![]()

battery life depends on your settings alsoOriginally posted by soleachip:I'm using a 15 inch mac pro and the battery life from beginning until now lasts only an hour. Is that normal?
The Mac Air looks really good... damn.
It looks truly sleek and looks like the ideal laptop to travel with. Whilst the lack of a DVD-ROM is still acceptable (afterall they do offer a separate DVD console), the biggest drawback is not having an ethernet port. You don't see many hotel rooms or clients' office having a wireless network.Originally posted by pwnz0r:
There was the Powerbook G4 12 inch. The balance between specs and battery life then was alright.Originally posted by Deino:since it is "pro" they won't make a 13 inch one.....
reason being is that 13 inch is too small for hd resolution.....
if you compare notebooks.....
you'll see that the smaller your notebook, the lousier the specs BUT longer the battery life......
one of the longest lasting 15 inch i know should be 3-2.5 hours
whilst 13-11 inch notebooks some i've seen can go until 11 hours but average should be 7 hours.....
so its either you choose between battery life or specs......
i harped on the lack of etherport weakness until my colleague pointed out there is a USB-ethernet adaptor accessory for sale.Originally posted by JLennon:It looks truly sleek and looks like the ideal laptop to travel with. There's actually also the Apple AirPort Express (that I am using and actually forgot about it!) which is easy to bring around and one can hook up the ethernet to that device and gain wireless access.Originally posted by pwnz0r:i harped on the lack of etherport weakness until my colleague pointed out there is a USB-ethernet adaptor accessory for sale.
original mac is too expensive at SGD50 maybe, but sure our China 'OEM's will have something soon.
so the lack of ethernet port is a non-issue.
battery is still the major problem, its seems.

i think you cant compare it to another macbook.Originally posted by pwnz0r:depsite my earlier poor comments, i think i downplayed its key attribute - the thinness.
i think its hard to appreciate the full value until we completely see it.
this picture gives a good feel of what is it like.
again, i stand by my points that they sacrificed too much just to achieve the sleekness.
