Hi All, As our population is getting older, some medicines become a basic needs for the elderly as their body start to deteriorate and weaken. This is a natural process and with modern medical supplements, the elderly will live longer with lesser problems.
In turns, the availability of medical supplements will save the government lots of money. But this is at a cost to the elderly who need to pay for such expensive medical supplements.
I am trying to group up to 5000 elderly people who are interested in buying medical supplements for personal consumption directly from the manufacturer. I hope that with this number, I am able to convince the manufacturer to sell to us and save the elderly up to 30%-50% of the purchase price.
This saving can then provide them with better basic needs and life, especially with our current high food and transport cost.
Anyone interested or have elderly parents of grandparents can send me a private message. There is a non-profit project for the benefit of the community.

I'll stick to doctor's prescription. As they are elderly, we don't know what will cause trouble.

It is good to have the elderly visit a doctor for medication but this is normally necessary when they fall sick. Medical supplement needs for the elderly are known to most people such as calcium and vitamin D to prevent osteoporosis. More information is available at :http://annals.edu.sg/PDF/36VolNo9Sep2007/V36N9p784.pdf on the cost of hip fracture treatments, which is one of the common cause of admission to hospitals.
Medical supplement needs for elderly are also available in leaflets in hospitals. It is not a medicine but only supplement and do not need a doctor to prescribe it to you.
Anyone above 50 yrs should consider taking medical supplement to improve their health.

Yes, they should take supplements. But do you know what is suitable and what isn't?
It's not as easy as you think. You can just buy it off the shelves for kids, but it's different things for adults.
Adults may have history of some other illnesses, which if some supplements are taken without checks, will bring more harm than benefits.
So... I'm still against the idea. If you don't mind getting them at a discount price and selling them at a discounted price, that's not an issue. But to recommend that all elderly should take supplements will get a No from me.

i am not asking that all elderly should have the same types of supplement. They can have their own personal requirements decided by themselves or their doctors. I leave this to them.
We can collect all the names of the different types of supplements that the elderly need and those that they doctors recommended. And if more elderly join effort to group their purchase, they would likely be able to get it at a lower price directly from the manufacturers. No cost to me, I only need to manage the order and distribution, this can be done free of charge. Just spend some of my time. no big issue.
However, if they are able to get their supplements at a lower cost from a certain outlet then we can, we can then work with this outlet for a group purchase so that all elderly can benefit.

Oh... rather than wishing you luck, you would first better find out the regulations.
After that... the rest can slowly discuss.

Why do all the "ground work" if no one is interested!
