I used to bring food from home to school/work. Still do anyway. Nothing beats mom's cooking.Originally posted by Deino:Home meals are the best if you wan save money.....
I used to bring home meals to work last time but now darn lazy coz i'm always tempted to eat food outside.....huuu.....
It's okay lah. If i were to eat outside everyday, it'd be reduced to almost nothing. Food around CBD area about $7 for a meal. 7x20=140. If I stay out or go somewhere to do my assignments, it'd be about 280. Couple that with transport and misc stuff, it's okay. I've classmates who get almost a grand a month along with a supp card and they still complain it's not enoughOriginally posted by newcomer:wah 500 is quite alot for montly necesisty

Just different upbringing. They're born with a silver spoon in their mouths so yeah. They're nice people but the way they spend scares me.Originally posted by Deino:they must be ungrateful......

It was on channel U quite a few months back, the Lee family flies their chef over to Japan to buy the freshest sushi for dinner.
Quite right.Originally posted by Kuali Baba:Just a comment - You don't have to order drinks with your meals every day.
He said order, not not drink. You can still drink, but not buy it from a stall right?Originally posted by maurizio13:Quite right.
We don't have to eat everyday too, we can save heaps if we eat a meal every other day, or eat a meal a day.
We can save on toiletries too, take a bath every 2 days, brush our teeth every 2 days, shampoo our hair once in a week.
We can take away the handphone, TV, internet and computer too.
For entertainment we can stare at the walls try to visualise ourselves in a comedy, or put in extra hours of work so that we can be more competitive.
Thanks for your advice, it's really an eye opener.![]()
