come on, the genesis in most religions talk about the universe as a chaotic mess before some being created the universe. it's not restricted to christianity only.Originally posted by RobinHood69:Science VS Religion debate
To all those scientist out there, the third law of conservation states that energy/matter cannot be created or destroyed, they can only be converted from one form to another.
Yet these same scientists support the Big Bang theory, where everything is created out of nothing.
The Big Bang theory in fact supports creationism read Genesis 1 – 1 where GOD created everything out of nothing.
Dinosaurs bones, Cro-Magnon man skeletons and human skull attach to monkey jaws are the work of the Devil to deceive those who are weak in faith.
I would rather be the creation of a divine being than the descendents of monkeys, to be accurate, mutated descendents of monkeys.
Creationism is a belief. So creationism is not a science to u right ? And evolution, according to many scientific organisation, is science. And so far, there r no problem with evolution and it is pretty effective in explaining a lot of phenomenon. Why do evolution need more time when there is nothing wrong with it now
There's also a definition for creation science: - an effort to give scientific support for the truth of the account of Creation given in the Book of Genesis.
Some creationists are also scientists in their own right. They learn science in schools, in addition to believing the words in the religious book, the bible.
So, their arguments are also from a scientific point of view, not entirely quoted from the religious book.
The creationist scientists have the added advantage of gaining knowledge from two sources.
Give the evolutionists and creationists more time, as long as they need. That's to be fair.
Einstein is dead before he can prove his theorem correct with a spaceship that can travel close to the speed of light. Stephen Hawkings is getting old and his theorem is not conclusive yet. Most laymen don't understand their theorems anyway.
Dinosaurs bones, Cro-Magnon man skeletons and human skull attach to monkey jaws are the work of the Devil to deceive those who are weak in faith.Ya right... everything u see and observe r the work of the devil. Maybe the bible is the work of the devil. It is to deceive people into not using their eyes and brains but blindly obey the wrong thing. U don't know because men r supposed to be too stupid to know the differences.

1) evolution is just but 1 theory of life's origin, there're plenty of others including extraterrestial
2) let's say we're able to prove that life on earth is created by a god or a group of gods, that only means that such a god or gods exist. i mean there're so many religions out there, this so-called creator may be the jewish/christian/islamic god, hindu god, taoist god, greek/roman/pagan god, voodoo god or may be even the flying spaghetti monster. so which version of creationism is true? does that mean that the teaching of creationism has to include the "genesis" in all the religions in the world?
We need to be very clear on this point.
1) evolution is not a theory of life's origin. Evolution is a theory about how life developed.
But scientific theories of abiogenesis are still consistent with evolution. Even if extraterrestrials seeded life on earth, that still does not invalidate evolution. Extraterrestrials at most seeded organic chemicals, or perhaps the first prokaryotes or eukaryotes on the planet.
There is genuine controversy over different theories of abiogenesis. And all scientists in this field recognize that we simply do not know the answer to this. That's why the theories are basically listing out all the scientific possibilities. We need to know all the things that could have happened so we can test those theories.
But "god did it" is not a scientific theory.
Falsifiable hypothesis that the bible makes are wrong. For example, there's no evidence for a global, worldwide flood. There's no evidence that humans suddenly appeared 600 years ago. There's no evidence that there are waters of the sky held up by a firmament.
it's interesting to note how the evangelists lost interest in this topic once the definition of creationism broadens beyond christianity ![]()
