US shipping and handling question

hi all,
just now, i was about to place an order for an eletronic gaming device which costs US$29.99, but as i was about to check-out, it's listed that the "shipping and handling" charge is US$59.98!!!!!!!
h**y cow!!!!!!! anyone has any idea of what's going on?
this is my 1st time buying a physical product from overseas online store.
i've since changed my mind.......****!!!!!! the shipping charge is like double the actual product's price??!?!
hello!!!!!! the product is the size of a credit card and weighs 0.5 KG leh!!!!!!!

well for some, they might just overcharge you on the shipping & handling costs but for some could be due to the insurance & other stuffs to ensure that you get your item(s) safely

but then, got this thing on another website i don't understand:
Product price: US$29
Shipping and Handling : US$19.95
Each Additional Item: + US$17.95
so, if i'm buying only 1 product, then it's US$29 + US$19.95, and not US$29 + US$19.95 + US$17.95?

Yup, if you're only buying just 1 product, then the total that you must pay would be US$29 + US$19.95...the each additional item is only when you buy the 2nd item & more

is that item you're bidding going to end soon? If not, its always better to wait till its almost ending then you place ur bid otherwise you can be easily be outbid

basically, it lets you connect the xBox to your PC and lets you record all your gaming techniques / moves right in the PC and save them as video files, afterwhich u can upload to the web, like in youtube or gaming sites.
u got buy stuff from eBay (US) before?
they say ship by US Postal Service First Class Mail, but i'm not sure how long it will take.

hmm, i c...yup, usually i purchase die-casts models & 7-14 days is just estimated coz it might be delayed due to some unforseen circumstances which you might not expect

It all depends, sometimes the seller might set the buy-now option at quite a high price whereas if you bid, you might get that item at a lower price but for some buyers, they just simply want the item & if cost doesn't matter to them so they just use the buy-now option lor -

erm... and no blades/weapon like objects... since you have problems with the custom...
Might want to consider using VPOST if buying a lot of items from different sellers... so they will ship to your US postalbox and you can ask Vpost to sent it over together to save the international postal...
