GPS Navi System

  Hi guys, I going to buy Marbella NAV5220 GPS for use in Thailand. But it comes with only SG/MY map only. The salesman says can easily buy the map for $150 full english version for the Thailand map then save it to your SD card then plug and play can liao.
  
  I going to buy the device lah but $150 for a map is kinda ex....anywhere can download the map for free anot? Please advise.

  but my gps is all in my WM .. not standalone device

  Hi according to the salesman, the software inside the SD card can only be use for their own device. you put the SD card in other device, it cannot use.
  
  I also ask if I can share it with my friend anot cuz 1 map for Thailand is $150. He say can also but the problem is if i use, my friend cannot use and if he use, i cannot use. This is because the data all inside 1 SD card can cut and paste or copy and paste all these...die die only can share the SD card.
  
  So I wondering....which brand got the best GPS device?
  
  - Like can download map and update then use for free one...??

  i havent look into those standalone gps type yet. you using for car?

  Btw, i am using Map ROUTE 66 on my Nokia 6110 Navigator.
