"preserve" our heritage in digital formats
DIGITAL HOMELANDS SINGAPOREPresented by the National Museum of SingaporeFrom 15 January 2008, the National Museum of Singapore will be launching Digital Homelands Singapore, a national project inviting all Singaporeans to create a short 5-8 minute video in digital format, that captures a specific experience or memory of a place in Singapore.
There are no restrictions on the genre – you can choose to share your personal stories through narrative, documentary, experimental or even a music video. And be it the house where you grew up, the street where you held hands with your first love, such moments are what we are looking for.
In conjunction with Digital Homelands Singapore is a series of filmmaking workshops for the public. these workshops aim to help people create their own digital stories of locations such as Katong, Tiong Bahru and Changi. Selected videos will be showcased in an exhibition to be held at the National Museum of Singapore in August 2008.
Video submission deadline: 30 April, 2008
