It really makes me wonder why Jason found a need to re-do the layout of SGF, maybe because he wants a fresher look?
This new look may be very hip and kinda futuristic in a way but it resembles HWZ in certain manners and one of the reason I'm here is because I don't like how HWZ looks. Furthermore, now I have to come here using Firefox which I detest because Firefox to me loads slower than IE. My IE browser can't view the website properly now.
Why Jason, why?

While I don't agree with the 'don't fix it if it ain't broke' way of life (no progress), I'll have to say that I really, REALLY do not like the new UI. Biggest problem is that a lot of times, it seems that posts and such don't line up properly. Also, I hate fancy UIs. I've always a firm believer of functionality over form.

I can understand Agenda's reservations cos I've got some problem viewing SgF properly from my office workstation. But on my home pc, there's no problem......In fact, it looks pretty cool!
If our problem viewing SgF properly can be fixed, I think we'll get to embrace this layout change more happily....
Hope some techie may be able to offer a solution guide to our problems

ok la... actually i love sgforums because it used to be very simple to post and use as compared to other forums which are often complicated and messy. but i will still say sgforums rox because it is still very user friendly and somemore there are certainly more useful features other den the new look....

haiz the reason i chose sgforums over HWZ was the simpler inteface and they had to change the interface.... guess i am leaving sgforums now...

Simple interface.
Neat interface
Fool proof forum.
V-easy to reply, crap ect.
Now, i might think twice. Since both are about the same kind.

A good suggestion is reducing the font size by 1 permamently..If we do manually via browser,it's only for that browser page and does not apply to other browser windows...

Refreshing my foot! the right side pane is so big and the posts' viewing so narrow.....read what??!!! KNN!
the new site now takes 6 times longer than average to load and it's very clunky, heavy looking.
look at HWZ. KNN!!!!
last time SGF so fast and simple, and we can concentrate on the posts itself, not some crappy interface with a buggy post editor.if SGF really wanna change look, at least use those time-tested public forum software like phpBB or vBulletin mah!
this seems to be a custom coded software......expensive and clunky.
if 90% of SGF members threaten a strike by not posting here for 1 month, we see whether they'll revert to the old software.
WE WANT THE OLD SGF BACK!!!!!!

i agree with the topic starter. the new interface is a major turn off for me. hopefully with time we'll get used to it.
