I just finished watching the live broadcast of the State of the Union Address in CNA.
I must say this is my 1st time since adulthood watching this address live. When President Bush entered the hall, he was met with a Rousing and cheerful applause. This scene would shock many people becz we all know that Bush is not exactly POPULAR.
But the CNA anchorman in U.S commented, this is a tradition during this address to give a loud cheerful cheer and appaulse to the President regardless of his popularity.
That is quite a graceful gesture. Morever, whenever Bush announces a good initiative, those senators who concur with that initiative will stand up to appaulse. I am very impressed.

high crime rate
high national debt
low education standard
Is there a nation out there with near perfect record? I think TS is talking about graciousness as a society.
Those who don't like him may have chosen to stay home.
