Nowadays unis and polys full time course starts in Jan right? So this means those taking O levels and A levels can straight away go uni or poly in Jan right? Those serving army for 2 years can straight away go uni in jan. No more april intake for A levels students right?
Don't know leh.
My JAE results out in Feb only, then Poly school starts in April?
but some direct admission to poly one started already...
uni where got start in jan sia. unless u SIM. or in nus/ntu take special term [for ord'ed guys]
poly should be march/april right. but i know primary school is jan start :P
Army BMT enhanced intake for JC students are usually on Jan and April. These people only need to serve 1 year 10months. So lets just look at april batch, April batch enlistees will ORD in Feb. Minus away their annual leaves and off, they can start schooling in January. Anyway, its not compulsory to attend university's lessons. Some modules may require you to attend or else you may lose up to 10% of assessment grades but the university cant expel you.
Generally in University like NUS/NTU/SMU, most students will start their courses in July/August. However, nowadays more and more students are taking the january intake cos there is no disadvantage at all. All ESSENTIAL modules are offered in every semesters. You will graduate in december, a period of time where there are much less fresh grads than June.
poly start in jan is a hoax..

but those who start in april are considered to have started in the first half of the year so i think those poly students will graduate in dec, assuming they take 3 full years.
Poly starts in April, so most of their guys can go NS in June/July and Sep/Oct intakes.
why are A level exam results released earlier now? Is it done so that people can go in uni earlier (in jan)?

Poly students will finish their exam late Jan/early Feb... but they have to wait until May to get their diploma. :)
