book returned into bookdrop but no light flashed,how?

  i dropped a book into the bookdrop but there's no return light flashed,i dropped a total of 2books and the second one dropped in without the "returned" light flash reply??  will the nlb staffs double check the books before placing back into bookshelves one?? i gotta call up nlb tml..

  May be that is a technical fault.  If you want to be sure that NLB receives your book, call them tomorrow.

  it happened to me before i went to ask the staff they say it is ok they will need to scan the books anyway then i came home to check using the Internet to make sure i dun have books oweing and it was comfirmed ok

  they will double check the scanning.

  IF light show - direct scan

  if nv show - they will don care what, all the books they scan. If barcode not scan, it will overwrite and say scan.

  Therefore dont need tuhhh worrryyyy =X

  nlb cock up one.

  they sent me fine letter saying i never return the books.

  thing is... i didnt borrow any book since more than 10 years ago. way before the date stated in their letter.

  Happens quite a few times to me. Just hang around the library. About 30 minutes will do. Then go and check your account. The books should have been scanned as returned. If it's not done, ask the librarians.

  When checking, note down the book number. It's a long string of alphanumeric starting with the letter B.

  they told me before they will double check within 2 hrs... I think...

  But it is safer if you check it again to confirm it is indeed returned...

  go to www.nlb.gov.sg

   

  at the side, click check my account

   

  enter ur ic number, DOB, and surname

   

  the click ok

   

  see if there is anyting on loan, if yes, call them/go to the libary tmr
