Tattoo artist recommendation.

anyone with a good tattoo artist to recommend who does good quality and beautiful chinese / kanji wordings and feminine tattoos?
My previous tattoo was done at Johnny Two thumbs but he doesn't do alot of chinese wordings and Richard isn't chinese. SO yeah.
I really want a tattoo for my birthday and I want to ink my chinese name on my back. LOL.
Would really appreciate it if you could introduce a good tattooist.

A Ghurka doesnt have to know Chinese to tattoo the characters on you

quinsy decided to do chinese? as in ur previous thread, i also wanna do my chinese name, but only the last word. my friend recommend me his friend who's a tattoo artist at Bukit Timah shopping centre. for a normal single colour will be about 60bucks. quite tempted but just waiting for the time...

I wanted to do butterflies. but then i thought my chinese name looked nice too. so wondered if getting it tatttoo will be nice or not.I need to look for nice designs of my chinese name, with like butterflies and flowers around it. Colour optional.

Quinsy try getting your arty farty friends to do up a style for u, den bring the design to the studio. the tattoo artist might be able to copy the thing

My friends all Engineering de, how to be Arty Farty?!LOL.
ASk them draw schematic diagrams or Process Flow Diagrams can. But art?!

I like letting the artist create leh.

Or would it look too ah lian?
If I change to cherry blossoms to rose and water droplets, would it look better or not?

yup, i need to do a touch up on mine, any recommendations on artist whom i won;t end up amputating my arm because of the touch up bill? xD

i think it looks nice.
since you want to get your chn name inked, how bout designing it in a way that each of your chinese character hangs on cherry blossom/rose? Just like an apple tree with lotsa apples on it.
Decide the position of each chinese character so that the name can be read easily. Not too far apart. Each chinese character can be made slanted (like italic) a little while hanging. The water droplets could be seen dripping/rolling off from each chinese character. It's like dripping down from the flowers, to the chinese character and to the ground.

hmm.. i'm thinking of either exotic tattoo or Body tattoo Studio... any comments on either one of this tattoo shops? hope they dun costs a bomb like Johhny.. xD

Print out the Chinese characters in the style (and size) you want, and bring it to a good tattoo artist, and get him to copy it properly for you.
Need not be a Chinese tattooist. Thai or Gurkha also can.
Any tattooist with a shakey hand will ruin a good design.

yes. heard of this thing too.
anyway, quinsy, this guy eric, from sharks, now located at holland v is quite good. done a couple at there, and his art is damn good.

Another friend of mine, go and tattoo a old ancient figure dun knw from one of the middle east country on his forearm. After that 2 straight years always get into trouble with work. Kena up down left right from his boss.

for those god tattoos (Guan Yin, etc) i read that you have to pick certain days to do tattoo not just any day you like else you might offend them
