In case you don't know why, here's the reason:

I told the doctor about the lump. He looked at it and say it's a minor one. He said there is no need to drain the pus out and prescribed me some antibiotics. He said if it doesn't get better, I have to come back to see him.
In the end, I paid $50 for the consultation and 3 different type of medicines: Anarex for pain/fever -20 tabs, Augmentin as the antibiotic -10 tabs and Korzen for swelling/inflammation/phlegm-20 tabs.
When I made the payment, the receptionist told me the antibiotics is expensive. I don't know why she told me. Overall, I felt like I being ripped off. And it seems the article I read last time really prove me right, doctor prescribe antibiotics to solve the problems.

an abcess is an infection...
the antibiotic is a good one.. it's really expensive.. and since you've had your lump for some time, he figures it would probably be resistant to most stuff since your body didn't get rid of it.. so give it a bigass blockbuster one...
in future, don't wait so long.. he may prescribe normal antibiotics and be done with it...
Why are you so aggressive? This thread tackles more than just visiting the doctor, it also touch on the prescription of antibiotic.
