Doing a project on drink driving in Singapore.
I would like to know why:
1) People drink drive
- Is it because they aren't too scared of the consequences?
- Is it because there is no suitable transport back that doesn't involve their own car?
And also
2) How to counter the problem?
- Stricter laws only act as a deterrance and do not solve the root of the problem.
- Any innovative ideas?

Because they think they can get away with it.
Because they think they can still drive.
Because when they have been drinking their judgement is impaired.
Becayse they don't want to leave their car behind and then have to arrange to pick it up again the next day.

people drinkl drive becos after they drank till they become drunk, they dont think they're drunk,so they drink drive!
Think there's a gadget already invented - if the car sniff alcohol in the breath of the driver beyond a certain limit, the ignition will shut off immediately.
Usualy they don't drink and drive. They always drink and then drive.
