Appeal do not mean he doesn't want to his term. He is hoping for a reduced sentence, but risk having his sentence increased, Singapore style. It also signals that he do not agree with the conviction. To not appeal, says that he accept the verdict that he is guilty. It is his perogative.
He is in Dubai now I think, do a MSK shuffle?

Anyway,3 months for a fraudulent person like him is too light in my opinion and so I hope he gets a longer sentence for appealing even he knows he is as guilty as hell and should accept the extraordinary superlight sentence. -
Has he been given hours for community service ah?

I have a very very weird feeling that the courts is going to overturn his conviction...

that goes without saying ...... it's farking ridiculous that he's allowed to go out of the country with with a jail term hanging over his head .....
reminds me of another chap, the sri lankan artist with an ang moh wife from that celebrity drug bust a few years back ... who was able to run away from Singapore with a drug rap hanging over his head
just so that the people remembers it in 2011 and pull a "malaysian election" in Singapore ....

There was a time when even big shots got shot down for frauds and Criminal Breach of Trust.Remember Glenn Knight (another high flyer kacang puteh man)and Teh Cheang Wan (Mr HDB) but the latter escaped by committing suicide. -

I still feel pissed when I think about the whole affair ..... who are the people who put in the phone calls to donate, in the majority of cases ? .... heartlanders ! ... blue collar workers ..... middle class families .... who "tithe" a portion of their money income for charity ........ charity indeed .... with singtel making a nice profit on each phone call during those NKF shows as well .....
