Correction dude. It is not how much you have, but it is the amount you get to keep in the end.

Correction dude. It is not how much you get to keep, but how much you can afford to spend.

I read that article too. only in the banks and financial institution will u get such obscene pay.
My friend working as an INTERN in a european bank (cannot reveal) is being paid $4500/month to do IT job. i repeat again, INTERN with zero experience. so did all his friends who entered the same bank.

of the 26 banking and finance graduate who earns 20k a month? and more than 8k a month while he was still schooling at ntu.
Anyone from the industry can tell me whether ALL the banking and finance graduates earn such sick pay?
Or is the average and median pay much lower?
Not that I'm terribly interested in banking and finance because I'm a born engineer, but definitely super curious!
well but he still gets paid........
currently there are 2 kinds of job which can get u quick money, one is IT freelancer and another is salesman .... If you are still studying, try to join the sales line.... just by working part time (weekends only) at least 1.2k/mth ... if you are doing those part time insurance/property, the figure .... u calculate ba ...
Envy is a sin. How much he earns a mth is still based on his work mah..u think 20K/mth is sit there, shake leg de meh?
Worst is, if with no savings & the company ask the employee to go, he/she doesnt even hav $20/mth leh..
But tis Eugene guy is smart, he made investments..![]()
Welcom to Elite world.
He is one of the elite. That's why rich become richer, poor become poorer. Not everyone in banking industry like him.
Most people in the banking industry still have to work long hours and under constant stress.
I admit I am not as talent as him. We common folk with normal qualification and job, what to do?![]()

I thought elite are those who go from JC to Ivy league universitues. Plus, they dont live in HDB flat right?
sour grape syndrome?
Everybody only see the fruit of his labour.
No one see the toil he had to go through...
why can't we be like him? why is he so special?

hmm studying and pt sales earn 1.2k/mth, what kinda sales give you that kinda income man.
Studies already take so much time with project and deadline. I think he is God, so many brains and hands.
Most of us either graduates or elderly earn only a miserable pay with long hours of works. knn. Seriously I think i shall move to sale line. Let's move to Sale line like him and flood this industry. ![]()
I am thinking what the message behind the news?. "INCREASING Gap in Income between Elites and Pleasants ah..." ![]()
i dunoe bout u, but he is not an elite in my defination.. He's a high flyer..
Elite is people who haf good family pedigree, rich parents blah blah blah...
kiao ka wait for rich parents to send dem to overseas schools no need to work as hard...
Erm, ok in my defination, the word "elitist" has a negative connotation to it..
wat's so surprisin.
many of these ppl out thr.
plus ppl oladi got gf le lah.
it's like that one... Somehow certain people are just uncomfortable with others doing better than them, even though the successful person in this case has worked hard to achieve what he has... Then these certain people will come out with all sorts of things to demean or complain. It does not happen only in this forum, but also in the real life, and is rather rampant in office politics.

part time tuition can earn that amount.
in the end its about the ability and talent to make money. Having lots of money is just an advantage over those that dont have. Girls dont necessary a guy with money , but they like a guy who knows how to earn money =P remember that boys. heh he..
Anyone think it's easy to deal with rich clients. How about a banker who gave up his job to become a policeman? Still remember? He was in the news too.

Bankers have the benefits of working with top investors. I have a friend who is a banker and grad from NTU 24 yo. His salary is of course basic + commission based. He probably can earn 8k easily on a good month. With all the money he earned, he invested a lot on unit trusts. Unit trusts are godly stocks for layman investors...to be continued
Wad a term. if there are such godly stocks and sure win situation, no one will work already. They will all just invest in these godly stocks.
i purposely exaggerate one![]()
