Lets discuss what is the difference between some people's online self and some people's offline self. Which is real?
I will start keke
Lets say, some people tends to be quiet in school and stuff (offline self), but when he log on to internet (online self), they totally change into someone noisy and stuff. So the real personality of him is the quiet one? or the noisy one?
Also some people tend to be nice offline, but when he go online, since no people can see their face and stuff, they become very vulgar and bad :P So in this case, which one is the real personality?
Also some will use fake online self to scam things online, so in this case, which is real too?
To me, i think that some people tends to express themselves more online, which makes their online self their 'Real' personality, but while other who only change for their own benefit is just someone who need attention and stuff.
Come on peeps XD lets discuss kekeke
All opinion is welcome :P Lets have some fun ^ ^ You can also give you personal experience XD
I think there is no such thing as any one being fake or real......
there can only be one self.........
and this one self does wot he does......he does things differently in different situations.....
eg....he may be a reclusive nerd in school but when online he's a cyber punk or cyber bully becoz he knows that in the online world, the "smarter" people have "power" and hence he feels comfortable in this situation and thinking.....
alot of the newbies have split personalities.
the old forumites are usually what u see online and real life.
then again, nowadays the newbies are all ginas.
I agree with wat Deino said. But i think there are some cases as fake self online,
Ppl does act different in different situation.
Sometimes people really just 'ACT' to make themselves feel different, but in the end they does not.
Also people might be nice online, but not nice online, which is 2 extreme, so which one is really their personality? nice or not nice? Or maybe he is just nice to people online but not nice to people offline?
opinion?
go for more outings. then you'll see.
discuss here also no point.

hmmm....it depends......i think if he is not nice online, then i think he is not a nice person both on and off.......his niceness offline if just a mask to cover his true identity.....
though sometimes you cannot judge a book by its cover.......cannot say the person is 100% evil or good....must always leave room for doubt....so most times, i try to treat people equally ethically...if i dun, then it cannot be totally my fault too for being human and have feelings.......constant vigilance
one is your REAL online self, the other is your REAL offline self lor.
haha.. just wanted to know how people think XD
For me i would treat my frd the same way i treat them online or offline. But i would tend to be more lame when im online...

hmmm....oh yeah....continue from my previous post.....
i cannot straight away come to the conclusion that the person is bad offline juz becoz he is online......like i said, must always leave room for doubt and possibilities.......sometimes some people may appear bad online maybe coz of stress, or mental issues or maybe it has something to do with bad childhood or life.....who knows......
Neither. ![]()

there are 3 types
online = offline
offline = self, online = pseudo-identity, trying to be someone he/she is not
offline = social selves, online = true self
to cut long story short, online ppl do not know who u are, so u can make use of anonymity to express yourself better... which is believed to be ur true self... cos u no need to worry about how others look at u, no social or peer pressure... there is equalisation of status... meaning, everyone is on even ground....
oso, there are ppl who make use of this to try to do wat they are unable to achieve in real life....
watever u say wun have any implications, so u dare to voice out more.....
for some, they just want to have a pseudo ID to dee siao siao, be evil clown....
but then, for those who are always trying to fake, maybe deep down, tts wat they are trying hard to be... bcos they are unable to do so offline, they create their own world in cyberspace... so even if is "fake", it's still their "true" self....
