Anbody remember Rumors and Fire disco? and groups like Johnny Hates Jazz,, their Turn Back The Clock was a hit, and Wham with Careless Whisper. Funny how time flies....< ending from the song Head Over Heels by Tears for Fears.
Cartoons like Smurfs, Transformers and Masks.
Commodore PCs, were they still alive in the 90's?
ChingAlvin, that old logo of SBC (Singapore Broadcasting Coporation) thought it was changed to TCS in the late 80's?

checked on this i am pretty accurate abt the timeline..
during the early 1990s' there is no 24 hours TV channels and no cable TV and of course, no internet........
still remembers:
weekdays
channel 5 starts broadcasting at 3pm and the first TV programme was those repeated SBC Chinese dramas
channel 8 starts broadcasting at around 5:55pm (during thursday & friday starts transmission 10 minutes earlier) and for monday to wednesday the 1st programmes was indian shows while thursday and friday were repeated 7:40pm SBC short dramas.
tamil news at 6:25pm followed by 1+1 with a 45 minutes SBC dramas followed by those 'zhi ma lu dou' type of 20 minutes short SBC dramas
and then chinese news at 8pm followed by the variety shows 'Kai Xin Wu Chong Zhou' with Jack Neo/Moses Lim, The late Hua Liang/Zhao Jin and The late Wang Sha/late Ye Feng on the variety shows.
and at 9:30pm there is 1 hour SBC dramas followed by either movies or overseas dramas or documentary shows before closing transmission, usually between 11:30pm to 12:30pm
While on Saturdays Channel 5 starts boardcasting in 9am while Channel 8 at 3pm starting with cartoons, 'zhou mo yue hui' (a programme with music videos), some Japanese dramas, Tamil shows, Brazilian dubbed in Chinese dramas, Qiong Yao Dramas as well as variety shows like Econ Nite etc...... Then there will be movie before closing transmission............ Yup for Channel 5 every Sat 9:30pm it will show SBC Chinese dramas dubbed in English.......
While on Sundays both Ch 5 and 8 will starts at 9am and Bollywood movies will be shown on Ch 8...... Not forgetting that popular matchmaking show 'Jin Tong Yu Nu Yi Xian Qian' also......
While for Channel 12, it will only be start transmission at 7pm everyday......
Also not forgetting those educational TV shows on Ch 8 morning and afternoon on weekdays........
